Shetland (AGES 4-5)
The Shetland division is played without a pitching machine. Coaches will pitch to the kids for 5-6 pitches and if the batter does not make contact (fair), the tee will be used. Outs are enforced but no scoring is kept officially. Ten players play the field and kids are moved around inning by inning. Six batters per team bat each inning for a maximum of five innings.
This league is designed to introduce the game of baseball to these young players with a focus on sportsmanship and having fun.

Maverick (AGE 6)
The Maverick division is designed as an instructional league to promote the fundamentals of baseball and have players develop their knowledge and skills for the next level, Pinto. The division is mainly comprised of 6 year olds, however, 5 year olds who are advanced for Shetland and 7 year olds who could benefit from additional instruction are welcomed to play Maverick.
The first half of the season will be coach pitch and the second half will introduce players to kid pitch.

Pinto (AGES 7 - 8)
The Pinto Division serves as an advanced player development league for ages 7-8 year olds. It builds upon Maverick Division skills and incorporates all kid pitch. Players will hone their skills and continue their development for the next level of baseball while having fun. Basic fundamentals of the game are reinforced and learning how to pitch is emphasized.

Mustang division (AGES 9 - 10)
The Mustang Division is for 9 and 10 year old players that want to take the next step in baseball. This level, for most children, is the exciting beginning of the real game of baseball as they see it on television. They will enhance what they have already learned while integrating in walks, stolen bases, basic signs, and more.
The Mustang field is lighted. Players will get an opportunity to "play under the lights"

Bronco Division (AGES 11-12)
The Bronco Division Division continues Lockport Boys Baseball goal of teaching youth baseball, except at a more advanced level. Players participating in the Bronco division are viewed as having reached an age and maturity where competition can be viewed as a healthy aspect of the game. While standings and win/losses are recorded and rewarded, the Bronco Division are not competitive to the point that any player should be discouraged at his/her lack of ability or success. Although the desire to excel and win games is a part of the Bronco/Pony Divisions, the main focus of Lockport Boys Baseball objective is foremost in the minds of all player/adult participants Sportsmanship, Integrity, Pride, Loyalty, Courage and Respect for the support and nurturing of the youth in our community.
The Bronco Division field is lighted More major league baseball rules are incorporated such as actual lead-offs and the pitchers being able to pick-off base runners.

Pony (AGES 13 - 14)
The Pony Division continues the Lockport Boys Baseball goal of teaching youth baseball, except at a more advanced level. Players participating in Pony are viewed as having reached an age and maturity where competition can be viewed as a healthy aspect of the game. While standings and win/losses are recorded and rewarded, the Pony Divisions are not competitive to the point that any player should be discouraged at his/her lack of ability or success. The Pony Division is structured similar to the Bronco Division except Lockport Boys Baseball teams may also play teams from the surrounding communities. The pitchers mound is moved to 54 feet and the base paths are 80 feet.

Colt (AGES 15-16)
The Colt level of baseball is for the age group of 15 & 16 year old players. This level offers much higher competition of baseball. At this level, the season starts later than other levels. The season runs from mid May to mid July. This allows players that play on high school baseball teams to be rostered. The Lockport team will play surrounding towns for 9 away games & 9 home games at Dellwood Park. The COLT level has all major league baseball rules in play, 90ft bases and 60ft Pitchers mound .

Lockport Baseball Fall Ball Program
Fall Ball is intended to be a more relaxed, less competitive environment than the regular season. The program focuses on fundamentals and the preparation of those players that will transition to a higher level next spring season. Unlike the regular season Fall ball is conducted under the following guidelines.
- Completely non-competitive (no standings are kept, no tournament play)
- Maximum 10 game season (one during the week and one on Saturday)
- Teams practice no more than twice a week
- Strong focus on player development, players are allowed and encouraged to play unfamiliar positions (with regard to player personal safety)
- Four divisions (Shetland/ Maverick, Pinto, Mustang, and Bronco)
- No player evaluations or drafting of teams (players are assigned to teams and all parent requests will be considered )
