John Cielenski Financial Assistance Program

The Lockport Boys Baseball board of directors will oversee the administration of this program. Their responsibilities include:

• Collecting applications
• Communicating program eligibility
• Ensuring financial stability and sustainability
• Making final decisions on award eligibility and amounts

All award decisions will be made by the elected board members, as defined in the Lockport Boys Baseball bylaws. John's family will be informed of all disbursements made by the program, given their role as the primary benefactor.

Eligibility Criteria must meet one or many of the following:

• Application must be received by 1-February of each year
• Demonstrable hardship circumstance that would make participation either extremely difficult and/or impossible for players family
• Clearly defined request (equipment, fees, number of family members, etc)

The launch of this program has been made possible through the generous funding from  the family of John Cielenski (his mom Jean, and sisters Georgia & Lora). To ensure its sustainability, the program will continue to seek additional funding through third-party donations and contributions from the general funds of Lockport Boys Baseball.

Feb 1 of each year

Decisions regarding the program & awards will be made at the Lockport Boys Baseball (LBB) February general board meeting. If there is any delay in holding this meeting, a special session of the elected board members will be convened at the direction of the league president to ensure timely decisions on all application submissions.
